Hi PC friends.

I'm going to make this short because i'm dying slowly from this terrible cough. NACA NATIONALS! wooooo! so much more low key than NACA Northeast, but wish our other three NACA NE people were with us. we look for our own food which is a little bit different that NACA NE. the booklets are coooool.

So let me start with the people I loveeeed: Derek Hughes-so hilarious, he was an emcee and was knee-slapping funny. There was this group called Elevators they have really funny dance moves but are really upbeat, one of the lead singers looks like the vulture from the jungle book, rachel pointed it out, so funny. Another comedian that was absolutely funny was Steve Byrne, he made Matt Miller cry he was laughing so hard, ahaha. THE CARTER TWINS- it was like the backstreet boys meet rascal flatts. Me and Meg Ryan are in love, they are AH-MAZING. Shaneielle Gabriel was a spoken word artist who was about about loving yourself and not taking anything for granted, holler girlfriend. Another Spoken word artist was George Watsky, he was the white Josh Bennett, so cute & more importantly, so good. Another emcee was Johnny Cardinale- he madde so many jokes with his guitar, it was so funny. RYAN CABRERA- there are no words, yesssss he's like a 3 hit wonder(if that even exists) but i FINALLY got my picture with him, and I still think he has a good voice. (= Kevin "Michael" Shea- so funny, he made so many jokes regarding being short and Japanese, hilarious. Our emcee today was Na'im Lynn- he was hilarious and talked about being in college and having terrible hygiene and eating habits, so true, haha. he was good and really interactive. James Reunion, another back I loveeeee, Meg Ryan pointed out that the lead singer looks like Stephen from Laguna Beach, I'm not complaining. ;) Sabrina Jalees was this really funny Pakistani/Swiss girl who made A LOT of jokes about her ethnicity as well as showed us all her baby dance at the club, SO funny. Some other awesome people were Baby Wants Candy-
so funny! They did an improv musical about sarah palin! HILARIOUS. Another person that was absolutely amazing was this guy who paints to music, INSANE. I will upload the video on my facebook soon, so cool, i can't even describe it. And of course, Steve Moakler is awesome, he remembered Meg Ryan, they are in love for sure. =)

As much as NACA is awesomeeeeee, there are some people I was not so fond of: Joberg and Gurner-DISGUSTING, we had to leave they were so gross, I have no idea how people were laughing, I was repulsed. ( i won't even tell you how i really felt. :) ) Someone else who was aggravating was an emcee names Ryan Stout, he wasn't funny, at all. He kept trying to make jokes that were just down right annoying and loud. He did have on a nice suit though. There is only one 3 letter acronym to tell you what I think about Hanne Hukkelberg from Norway: WTFL(what the fruit loops.), I apologize for being so blunt but she was barely singing/speaking english, so weird and not good, AT ALL. I don't want to dwell on the negatives so I'll move on.

ED Sessions! my first one was The Mind Never Forgets What the Heart Remembers- so good. it was just about realizing what some issues were inside our organization and how we work through those and how we can do a little more to make each day better, it was fantastic. (= My ED session this morning was annoying they were unprepared, unorganized and just said what us, as leaders, already know, it was very frustrating. My second ED session today though was so good. It was all about breaking the myths that we have as a campus which is SO important for PC, and I am so pumped about the things I have to bring back to Bridgewater. The tentative sessions for tomorrow for me are: "50 programs in 50 minutes Guaranteed or...", "Not just another meeting" "Dr. Seuss Taught us all we need to know about leadership" (so pumped), "How to make a programming board your future; careers in student affairs", "first-year leadership programs" and a session called "Refletion". So many options, so little timeeeee.

MISC. NACA moments include but are not limited too:Meg Ryan playing super-soaker with her dr. pepper, racing with matt miller at shaws(Ha! i win.), Watching Matt Miller doing a heel-kick, obv meeting Ryan Cabrera, listening to Raz on the train, Taking a picture with buzz and woody from toy story(oh yeah, be jealous.) getting coldstones for the first time, listening to commentary of the speed skating competition by rachel and meg. and having a chocolate covered strawberry in quincy market. not to mention getting asked for money to "help a drunk get smashed" by a homeless man, no sir, I'm lucky that I can afford the $3 for laundry every week, nevermind give you money for some QT with Jim, Jack or Jose.

That is all for tonight NACA/PC friends, it's 130, I'm coughing up a lung as we speak and my fingers are slowing down. I hope everyone enjoys check out the people that I like, they are all awesome!

  1. So glad this post finally showed up! And yes, it's official, Steve and I are in love and will make lots of musical offspring. I love how it took us a good ten minutes (out of fifteen) to figure out if the Norwegian lady was speaking English!
