Creepah Alert '09

So Saturday was a crazy day at NACA and I think most of it was attributed to the 3 hours of sleep. My first Ed session really didn't help at all and was really unorganized, but my second one really inspired me a lot. It was basically about choosing you attitude and how you need to set your goals really high. Some of my favorite quotes form the session were, "Leaders live at a level beyond where everyone else is living," "Set your goals really high because if you fail, you are still failing above a level of everyone else's successes," "Education is doing stupid stuff outside the classroom and learning from it," "Most students die when they are 27, yet they are not buried until they are 77!" These along with the activities we did really just inspired me to choose a good attitude and try to inspire the people around me.
We walked to the City Steam for lunch where Casey, Matt, and I got this crazy concoction of a meal. Luckily we made it to the restaurant alive after Matt almost got us killed crossing the street. All of the walks signs were on so he just starting shouting, "Go diagonal! Go Diagonal!" So we did. Once we made it to the restaurant I order this concoction of a bacon cheeseburger, but the pieces of bread were grilled cheese sandwiches!!! It was really good, but I do not ever want to know how many calories were in this meal haha. I didn't really think about the fact that dinner was being served in like 3 hours, needless to say I didn't eat anything at dinner, but it was totally worth it. While at the restaurant, the group decided to inform Matt about this guy that kept ending up, well basically everywhere I was. This didn't seem too creepy until we found out he had a girlfriend and that he said some rude things to Casey. So Matt decided he wanted to see who this kid was so he came up with a creepah alert. Basically you clap twice and then do subtle jazz hands. This came in soo handy at the dance later on in the night where my creepah and Kelly's kept showing up. The creepah alert turned into the popular NACA dance move : )
It was very sad to leave NACA this morning after all of the good times and memories made at the conference, but I can't wait to tell everyone about all of the new performers and event ideas that we got : )
