As I sit here in my room surrounded by a mountain of SHWAG (I.E. personalized street signs, 10 shirts, signed posters, itineraries, packets on top of packets, stickers, personalized socks, recyclable bags, christmas stunna shades, green screen photos, my NACA sack, and business cards) I feel bitter sweet. This was seriously one of the most worthwhile ventures of my life. I got to combine everything I love doing within program committee with my love for music, socilializing, and kicking patuuukasss (bum) at programming. I sweated in a bear suit for 2 hours to show that I love Bridgewater State College. We do something worthwhile for our campus and it just so happens we do it better than nearly a HUNDRED other schools. This babbling blog post might get lost among the other delegate's posts but I want everyone that attended the conference with me to know that WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE. We may have pretty faces but that's not what makes us great. WE make US great. We were selected for a reason and we showed everyone else whats up. We may not be all that sharp at WHAAA but did QUINNIIWHATEVER UNIVERSITY win excellence in programmiing? HELL NAH. This conference was an amazing experience and I will be counting down the days to when I can apply again to show people who BSC is and what we do. Who are we? BSC? What do we do? Kick programming butts like it's our day job! BACKA To BACKA NACAS we have won E.I.P (excellence in programming) and if like BK (I have it my way) we will bring a third home next year.
