Blogging Aimlessly..or so Matt Miller doesn't take my points away!

Hey everyone!

NACA is almost over and it feels like it has just started. It has really been a blast so far and I can't believe we just went to our last Marketplace of NACA Nationals! It was a pretty great Marketplace though because I got both a signed poster of Steve Moakler AND his cd! I'm not quite sure why I love him so much..but if you haven't heard his stuff yet maybe when you give it a listen, you'll see why! Not to mention, he's a cutie. ;)

The trip here was quite an adventure..Roz from Monsters Inc took the Red Line trip with us! I was so excited for that. We went to the first Showcase and I enjoyed the comedian/magician Derek Hughes as well the group Elevators. Comedian Steve Byrne was pretty great too, and i love love lovedddd the Carter Twins! Katelyn and I got a picture with one of them :)

On Sunday, we went to a club showcase and it was pretty terrible! I will just leave it at that. The Showcase later that night wasn't that great...however I really enjoyed Safetysuit and Ryan cabrera! Later that night on Sunday, we met Jenny D for pizza at the Upper Crust and I got SUPERSOAKED by my Dr. Pepper bottle! Ahh I was such a mess! but the pizza was great!

Today, we saw a comedian named Na'im Lynn who Emceed the show and he was pretty funny. I also enjoyed musical Andrew Ripp who did a nice cover of "Pants on the Ground." The band James Reunion was awesome! We met the band after in the CAMP and the lead singer was so nice and we got a great picture with the band. I really liked the comedian Sabrina Jalees. She made really great jokes about her heritage. "The Terrorists have arrived!" :)

Following that showcase was another showcase! I absolutely loved the Improv Musical group Baby Wants Candy. They were the only ones to get a standing ovation from the crowd! They do improv musicals to anything, and this one was to Sarah Palin: The Musical! I loved it. Green River Ordinance performed as well and they were really awesome and really nice when we met them.
Us with the Arcanes! They're from the UK! So cool!
The sampler was today when I finally got to see Steve Moakler for five minutes! I loved it :) He's so precious. I will be listening to his little cd on repeat for a longgg time.

The last showcase wasn't that wonderful or memorable. No one was that great except for Butch Bradley the comedian.

Anyways, enough about Steve, here's an ED session! It was called "Lovin' the Way You See Your Organization". They did the whole "you have to have a great logo!" shpiel, but it got better after that when we all got to share some great Marketing ideas. One that was discussed was an "all access pass" to give to people who attend our events. They get the pass punched after attending an event. At the end of the semester, those with all access cards get entered into a raffle.

Another idea was to make an official PC video! One organization plays it before every event they hold. It's a good way for people to see what PC is all about and to see if they are interested in joining.

Another idea was to push PC more at Freshmen Orientation and to make sure that PC gets the necessary credit.

We can also create flyers just marketing PC as an organization, with nothing about specific events or anything. We can also make a brochure or a handout and do some table tents promoting PC. On our bulletin board, we can put pictures of the E-Board's faces with little bios to get to know us!

I also talked to Rachel and Katelyn about doing a Member of the Week instead of the Member of the Month! :)

Alright online world, that's all I am going to write for tonight. :)
But before I go, I will leave you with a lyric from my song.

Matt Miller is speeding through the mall,
But we can still see him cuz he's really tall!

Goodnight!
Love,
Meg Ryan
